Prochem HS side entering mixers use a spiral bevel gear drive with HE-3S, WSE-3 or Mark III impellers, from 1 hp to 75 hp at 250 or 350 rpm, with various shaft sizes. A side entering mixer mounts through the tank wall near the bottom instead of on top, which suits large storage tanks where a top-mounted agitator would need a long shaft and heavy support structure. The Prochem side entry line also includes the MD and PB, from 1 hp to 300 hp with Maxflo WSE impellers, and the SB with 316 stainless shaft and impellers.
