Dickow Pumpen builds two families of centrifugal pumps for the chemical, petrochemical, refinery and heat transfer industries: sealless magnetic drive pumps and shaft sealed pumps.
In a Dickow sealless pump, a static containment shell forms a closed system with a hermetically sealed liquid end. The shell replaces double acting mechanical seals along with their external fluid reservoirs and control equipment. Dickow notes that about 90% of pump failures come from leaking shaft seals, so the sealless design raises availability and lowers maintenance costs. Magnetic couplings use cobalt samarium rare earth magnets. The sealless range covers process pumps (including the PRM to API 685), ANSI-dimension KM pumps, vertical pumps, hot oil circulation pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps and side channel pumps.
The shaft sealed range covers mechanical seal process pumps, vertical submersible long shaft pumps, inline pumps, self-priming side channel pumps, HZ/HZA multistage pumps and the NCR heavy duty pump built to API 610 (10th ed.) / ISO 13709. The largest model, the PRM, reaches 1000 m³/h (4,400 gpm) at 60 Hz. Hot oil designs are rated to 400°C (750°F).
Typical liquids include acids, lyes, solvents, hydrocarbons, liquefied gases, heat transfer oils, hot water and condensate. Dickow pumps serve chemical plants, refineries, tank farms, industrial heating plants and municipal water service.
